William Barclay, Esq.

Mr. Barclay is a Florida attorney and Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) whose work focuses on privacy, data protection, intellectual property, technology, and commercial legal matters. His experience includes privacy and regulatory compliance, contract drafting and negotiation, corporate and commercial matters, data governance, civil disputes, mediation, and transactional work. He has also authored work in the field of privacy law for the International Association of Privacy Professionals.

Mr. Barclay earned his Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law, where he developed a focused background in intellectual property, cybersecurity, and privacy law. His legal education included international study in Croatia centered on European privacy and intellectual property issues, including the GDPR. He has also undertaken advanced privacy-management training through the IAPP’s Certified Information Privacy Manager curriculum and is certified in e-discovery through the National Society for Legal Technology.
